- For dungeons not yet officially implemented on the NA server, see Category:Future Regions.
- Dungeons exist all over the world of Erinn.
- To enter a dungeon, you must drop an item or a pass onto the square-shaped altar located before the Goddess Statue in the dungeon's lobby.
- All partymates who are also standing on this square will also enter the dungeon with you.
- If someone drops the same item that you dropped, they will enter the same exact dungeon that you are in.
- This is how you can invite more people in to help you if things go wrong. There is no limit to how many people can enter the same dungeon with this method.
- This can also result in unwanted players entering your dungeon and ruining your run. To avoid this, it is recommended to drop an item that isn't commonly used (such as Gift items).
- If someone drops the same item that you dropped, they will enter the same exact dungeon that you are in.
- If you use a Dungeon Pass, the dungeon you enter will be completely instanced; even when other people drop the same pass, they will not enter your instance.
- There are a few relative difficulties for dungeons.
- Beginner dungeons require a Beginner pass.
- Normal dungeons can be accessed by dropping any item. Be aware you can stumble upon other player's dungeons.
- Basic dungeons requires a Basic pass.
- Intermediate dungeons requires an Intermediate pass.
- Advanced dungeons requires an Advanced pass.
- Keep in mind that Intermediate and Advanced dungeon passes can limit you to only bring a certain amount of players.
- Hardmode dungeons are exclusive to Alby, Ciar, and Rundal. You must have a total level of 250 or higher in order to enter them.
- The difficulty of dungeons generally increases: normal < basic < intermediate < advanced. This isn't always the case and depends very much on your playing style. For a player-made overview of the dungeons and their difficulties, see the Dungeon List.
- All partymates who were present in the dungeon when the Boss Room is initially opened will receive a reward chest at the end.
- Keys to the rewards chest are tradeable but disappear once you leave the dungeon.
- The key will automatically drop from your inventory should you disconnect before you can reach your chest. This way another partymate can get your reward for you.
- These keys cannot be brought between floors. If you must temporarily leave the game while inside a dungeon, it is recommended to be on the last floor so that you will still be able to claim your reward when the party finishes the boss.
For the hardmode dungeons go to Hard Mode Dungeons.
