Description and Geography

Tir Chonaill (Another World) is also referred to as Tir Na Nog in Generation 1, Generation 2 and through most of Generation 3. It is situated in a universe which parallels Erinn and is a ghost town populated by zombies and wild critters. In the past, during a frenzy of confusion and panic amidst a mass invasion of Fomorians, many had lost their lives while defending the settlement. Dougal is the only remaining townsfolk.

In this world, one may not resurrect normally, and neither Nao Soul Stones nor Guardian Soul Stones may be used. Players may only revive in the area without the use of Phoenix Feathers by completing the Tir Na Nog Quest, otherwise they will be sent back to Erinn.

Reaching Another World

Tir Chonaill (Another World) can be reached by the following means:
The Black Fomor Pass:

1. The player must first get the Black Fomor Pass from Kristell. To obtain it, speak to her with the How to Reach Tir Na Nog Keyword found within the Memo section of the Keyword diary.
2. Head for Bangor and enter the lobby of Barri Dungeon. Click on the statue and choose Black Fomor Pass, or drop the pass on the altar. Complete the dungeon and go to the room after the Boss Room. Behind the statue there will be the sealed gate to Another World; click on a gargoyle statue to open the gate.
   • The player may choose to go in the dungeon alone, or can be escorted as a party member by someone else with a Black Fomor Pass. Only up to 3 players can enter the dungeon.

Note: If the player has skipped or hasn't started the renewal of Generation 1 but have done the old version, use this method to go to Another World.
Alternatives:

• Use the Red Wing of the Goddess to Albey Dungeon. A player with this red wing can return to Another World at any time and with as many party members as desired, but can only do so once.
  • The wing can be acquired from Dougal only one time before the final dungeon in G1. It is tradable.
• Have someone already there use an Avon Feather from Avon while you are mounted on their pet.
• Have someone already there exit a Homestead while you are mounted on their partner's Carriage.
• Use a Warp Imp's Pet Teleport or a Recall Book slot that is set to Tir Na Nog.

Note: Friend Summon Capsules do not work in Tir Na Nog.

History

Past (Spoilers)

As revealed in Generation 1, Tir Na Nog was believed to be an eternal paradise without illness or death, as stated in the book The Land of Eternity, Tir Na Nog. Morrighan was petrified and sealed within Tir Na Nog, and asks Ruairi in his dreams to come to Tir Na Nog and rescue her, prompting him to bring his friends as an attempt to save the goddess. However, they discovered that the "paradise" is nothing more than a wasteland and is housing Glas Ghaibhleann, a historical creature said to have wreaked havoc within Erinn. Shortly after, they are attacked by Cichol who is disguised as Morrighan, causing them to be separated and lose their faith in the goddess.

Generation 1: Advent of the Goddess (Spoilers)

Shortly after the Milletian's arrival on Erinn, Morrighan also contacts them through a dream and urges them to rescue her. They try to find clues as to what happened to The Three Lost Warriors and a way to reach Tir Na Nog, but upon requesting the aid of Tarlach, one of the Three Lost Warriors who sealed himself within Sidhe Sneachta, tries to deter them from their search until he finally realizes that Cichol masqueraded as Morrighan and begs them to save her.

The Milletian eventually arrives on Tir Na Nog, successfully frees Morrighan, and defeats Glas Ghaibhleann. However, this was all according to Cichol's plan, as the destruction of Glas Ghaibhleann causes dark mana to be released from its body, bringing the two worlds closer and allowing Cichol's forces to invade Erinn.

Generation 3: Dark Knight(Spoilers)

The Milletian ventures to Bangor of Another World as an attempt to stop Macha's resurrection. However, during the final confrontation, Morrighan and Cichol reveal that the land of Erinn is actually the fabled paradise of Tir Na Nog; this "parallel world" is simply nothing more than a wasteland. Cichol also states that Morrighan had withheld this fact from humanity from the beginning.

Generation 10: Goddess of Light(Spoilers)

Tir Na Nog is briefly mentioned by Neamhain, the Goddess of Light, who dreamed of turning Tir Na Nog into its respectful paradise, but unfortunately has led to a nightmare; to accomplish this, she tries using the Heart of Courcle merged with Caliburn. Cichol also desires to create Tir Na Nog's Doom by stealing Neamhain's merged artifacts to destroy the Soul Stream, but is thwarted by the Milletian.

Generation 11: Sword of the Gods(Spoilers)

Cichol mysteriously allies with the Milletians and claims that his meddling with Caliburn would have destroyed not only the two worlds, but all the inhabitants including the Fomors.

Later, Neamhain still attempts to bring back Tir Na Nog's paradise by using the Brionac, one of the forms of the Caliburn, and sacrificing Jenna, though Cichol says that it will not restore the paradise but destroy it instead. Neamhain is thwarted by the Milletian and Leymore but states that they will regret their meddling.

Morrighan mentions a prophecy that a hero would descend from Falias and would lead the people of Erinn into Tir Na Nog's paradise.

• Continent Warp from Another World will return you to Erinn. From Tir Chonaill (Another World), you can warp to Belvast or Iria.
• Using the key word "Farmland" on Dougal will result in him saying there is no farmland in Tir Chonaill (Another World), but if you go to the south, there is still farmland there where you can harvest wheat and barley.
• While fish can be seen swimming in the pond and stream just like in Tir Chonaill, it is impossible to fish here.
• To obtain the pass, you used to require a current level of 25 or higher, and having certain titles active:
  • "the Bear Slayer at 10"
  • "the Bear Slayer with Bare Hands"
  • "the Bear Slayer with a Single Blow"
