Description

A common mistake even for proficient archers is to be overly confident in the power of his own arrow so that he steps out of the line in his supporting role. He would then get in the way of the other warriors' battle to death and snatch away their accomplishment. The Support Shot skill allows for the wisdom and discernment to use the bow with the whole battle scene in mind rather than the archer's target. The Support Shot skill is an integral part in the way of a respected archer.

A Skeleton Wolf immediately after being hit with Support Shot.

• Requires a bow or crossbow and the respective Missile to use.
• Support Shot puts an enemy into a "weakened" state for ten seconds, increasing the damage done by the next melee attack, fighter attack, or Flash Launcher that strikes the enemy by a fixed percentage. The debuff is removed after any attack, whether or not the effect was applied.
  • Blaze's damage, both the initial blow and explosion, are affected by Support Shot.
  • Hydra Transmutation's tick damage is also affected by Support Shot.
  • Chain Slash attacks count as melee damage and are thus affected by Support Shot.
  • An enemy hit by Support Shot is stunned for 4 seconds.
  • Using the skill on an already weakened target will overwrite the effects of the previous support shot.
• A blue cloud will appear around the target upon being weakened.
• Loading the skill with a bow equipped will force the user to walk.
  • Crossbow users can run with Support Shot loaded.
• The damage inflicted by support shot is 80% of a normal shot.
• The aiming speed of support shot is increased by your rank in Ranged Attack.
• Support Shot does not affect the Knockdown Gauge of an enemy.
• If Support Shot is used against an enemy who is in the process of being knocked back, the enemy's recovery animation will be skipped.
• Attacks from Summon Golem will not count towards Support Shot's melee attack.

Memory Book

Rewarded to Humans and Elves for clearing Generation 14: Romeo and Juliet and speaking to Blaanid during Clear Storyline Chapter 4 in the Fourth Memoir.

• The skill will have training requirements up to Rank 9 completed.

Other Methods

• Complete the quest The Basics of Archery.

Or,

• Talk to Trefor with the Skills Keyword with at least Rank Novice Ranged Attack.
  • The skill is immediately set to Rank F upon learning the skill.

Training Method

Tips

• Zombies are a perfect target for "Successfully use Support Shot which does not knock down enemies" as they have Level 3 Natural Shield (Monster), resulting in only taking 1 damage from Support Shot.
• Carnivorous Plants similarly cannot be knocked down, and also cannot come towards you.
• Barrier Spikes in Provocation Basic difficulty have nearly infinite health, which is perfect for spamming uses.
• For the requirement "Succeed in Critical Hit with Support Shot," any 0 protection enemy will suffice.
  • Basic difficulty Shadow Mission enemies.
  • Foxes and Raccoons outside Alby Dungeon and the Logging Camp respectively.
