Description
From his appearance and posture, there is no doubt that he is well into middle age, but he is surprisingly well-built and in shape. Long fringes of hair cover half of his forehead and his right cheek. A strong nose bridge stands high between his shining hawkish eyes. His deep, low voice has the power to command other people's attention.
Ranald is the martial-arts teacher of Tir Chonaill school. Born and raised in the town, he was a former warrior famed for valor and strength, trained personally by Duncan. He also worked as a mercenary for the city of Dunbarton. Likewise, tales of his heroism are frequently told by townspeople.
In his teaching times, Trefor was one of his best students. He also sells the book: "Don't Give Up! Trefor's Training Towards Veteranship" for 1000g.
In his past, he went into Rabbie Dungeon and recklessly defeated the Skeletons that got in his way, and even simply destroyed a Succubus in one hit. In Trefor's book, it shows that Ranald taught his students how to conquer a charms of the opposite gender.
This event can be viewed through an RP dungeon.
In early years, he claims to have had unrequited sentiments towards Endelyon. Judging from his long hair covering the slight scar on the forehead, he appears to be somewhat conscious of his appearance.
Aside from the abrupt mood shifts during his drinking binge, Ranald is a respected and contributive member of Tir Chonaill.

Classes and Training
Ranald gives Basic Combat Classes. Note that Elves and Giants cannot take these classes. Upon completion of his classes, you will receive a permanent stat increase and a skill (if you don't know it yet).
Each class, except for the last one, is a lecture. After each one, he will give you a minor EXP reward.
The final Class will be an Assignment, where he will give you a quest. Reward is EXP and Stat boost.
Classes start at 7am.
Assignment #1

- Assignment: Collect 10 Nails
- You cannot get help during this assignment, as Teacher Ranald says it would be "Cheating".
- REWARD: STR +1, 100 EXP
Assignment #2
- 3 classes
- Assignment: Defeat 5 White Spiders inside Alby Dungeon.
- Although he will say to hunt them in Alby Dungeon, it is OK to hunt the ones in the Graveyard.
- REWARD: STR +2, 100 EXP
Assignment #3
- 5 classes
- Assignment: clear Alby Dungeon
- You can bring a party.
- It is possible to use a Beginner Pass for this.
- REWARD: STR +2, WILL +2, 100 EXP
