Description

The straight bangs that hang over her eyebrows are quietly blowing in the light breeze that's flowing through the air.

Meles is a 16-year-old with large cute gray eyes and long hair. Upon closer inspection, she seems to be hiding undisclosed anguish, but she rarely leaves herself open.

Refining and Blacksmithing

You may notice that near Meles there are four Old Furnaces for refining and an Anvil for blacksmithing. If a player is near Filia then using these instead of going to Bangor may save considerable time.

When using the Old Furnaces in Filia, as compared to using the Furnaces found in Bangor, there are some differences to be aware of;

• Old Furnaces have a reduced refining success rate (-5%) as compared to using Furnaces.
• To activate the Old Furnaces requires pieces of Firewood to be given to Meles, rather than payment in gold coins. Once activated, the Old Furnaces can be used by anyone.
  • One piece of Firewood will allow the Old Furnace to be activated for one minute.
  • Five pieces of Firewood will allow the Old Furnace to be activated for five minutes.
• Only Elves and Humans (either Elf-allied or non-allied) may use the Old Furnaces and Anvils in Filia. Since Meles will not talk to a Giant or Giant-allied Human, they will not be able to use the Old Furnaces in Filia, but can instead use those in Vales. Note that a Giant or Giant-allied Human would never get a chance to even ask Meles, as the Elf Guards would attack them on sight. Also note that Anvils in Filia work the same as the Anvils in other towns across Erinn.

Shop

• Meles will not sell to Giants or Giant-allied Humans.
  • Meles will only sell Quivers, Scimitars, and Guardian Bows to Elves.
    • Also because of this, the weapon colors available on a given day will be different for humans and elves, even for those which are available to both races.
• The "Normal" prices are those offered to Elves and non-allied Humans.
• The "Special" prices are those that include the 8% discount Meles offers only to Elf-allied Humans (it is not offered to Elves).
• Note that on Alban Heruin (Wednesdays), the daily effect of a 5% reduction to NPCs' shop prices will apply.
  • Due to the way the two discounts are applied, for Elf-allied Humans this will result in an approximate 12.6% discount and will vary the most for low priced items.
