Golems are monsters composed of rocks and boulders with Fomor magic. They cleverly disguise themselves as a random pile of rock and boulders unbeknownst to newbies, and will attack by surprise and let its prey feel their hard, cold stone fists once it comes near its vicinity. Their huge size and fast speed makes them harder to fight and predicting their skills relatively difficult.

Basic Information

  • Golems are monsters that use area attacks such as Windmill and Stomp. They usually impulse high damage.
  • Before they are hit or aggroed, golems sometimes lie on the floor. They are resting. This will recover their HP/wounds if they are injured from previous attacks.
  • All Golems have very fast movement speed.
  • All Golems, excluding Tabhartas, have the Rest skill.
  • None of them have Heavy Stander, except those from Ciar Advanced, Ciar Hardmode and Tabhartas.
    • The opposite applies to Shadow Mission Golems.
  • All of them have level 2 Mana Reflector and Natural Shield, excluding Tabhartas and the Small Golem
    • The opposite applies to Shadow Mission Golems.
  • Try to maintain your distance from the golem. They have about 1/4th Boss Room aggo range (also about a full normal room range).
  • Golems have 2 titles to give out.
    • One who has defeated a Golem earns "the Golem Slayer" title.
    • One who 1 hit KOs the Golem will earn "the Golem Slayer with a Single Blow" title.
  • All Golems have Rank 1 Windmill. Exception of Golem (Small Black) (rank 5), and Magic Golem (rank 9).
    • Knocking it down may provoke it to use Windmill.
  • If a Golem uses Smash, the Golem may cancel the skill before reaching the player and use something else, such as Stomp. It's strongly advised to interrupt the golem when it charges at the player with Smash.
  • Every Golem can Stomp players out of Play Dead.
  • Golems have no significant weakness. Smashmill, Fire Counter or Fire Wall are typical strategies used against Golems.
    • A problem with Fire Counter is that when the Golem gets knocked back, you may still be in Stomp range or you may run out of room.
    • A problem with Fire Wall is that Firebolt is too weak against certain Golems because they have level 2 Mana Deflector.

  • If you curiously want to beat one lead 1 of these to Aer's place then enter it then go out you'll see it doesn't aggro you anymore,then smash etc. then repeat this step until you defeat it.

  • It is possible to mine the Sulfur Golem for Sulfur Ore and Fossils; the latter item has a much higher percentage of being produced than mining from regular sulfur deposits.
  • They cannot be attacked while they are using Rest. You must provoke them before you can start attacking them.
  • Golems seen from afar can be targetted, allowing you to attack them even if they are using Rest.
  • You cannot mine a dead Sulfur Golem.
  • Mine the Golem to decrease its Protection. However, simply mining the golem once will not completely lower its Protection. Once you have removed all of its collectibles, its Protection will be decreased to its least value, which seems to be 10%.
  • An elf can safely use Hide after each attempt at mining to prevent getting hit.
  • You can have a flying pet out, mount it and take off after each mining attempt, nullifying any aggro you picked up. This is still a dangerous method if you aren't quick enough to fly off if any of the golems in the vicinity notices you.
  • You may also prematurely aggro a golem by using windmill and then kite it to a rock to mine it. note that they may occasionally stomp through small rocks.
  • You can summon a pet mount, prematurely aggro the golem using windmill, mount the pet and place the pet behind a big rock; demount and you may mine the golem. (Be cautious as the golem can switch aggro to you, in this case just run to your pet again then you may be able to mine the golem once again)

  • Spawns with four normal Golems.
    • It is suicidal to attack without luring it away
  • When the Black Golem is killed, the "guardians" will disappear
  • Lure it with Firebolt, staying out of its stomp range. Get it away from other monsters. Then have two people use Final Hit on it. Windmill if Final Hit runs out.
  • With Rank 5+ Firebolt, simply Firebolt spamming the golem to death is enough to easily kill it. (This works on any enemy) This tactic, however, requires large amounts of MP if the enemy has high HP, but if you have the MP, it is fail-safe.
