At this time, no one knows Cichol's motivation or his true face. What is known is that he desires the destruction of all beings in Erinn.
In Generation 1: Advent of the Goddess (G1), Morrighan was sealed away by Cichol, so that he could disguise himself as Morrighan to trick the humans. It is said by Shiela that he was supposed to be dead, however, he is still very much alive.
If you use the keyword "Cichol" on Duncan, he claims Cichol was the one who began the Wars between the Fomors and Humans, sent Glas Ghaibhleann and Cromm Cruaich to Erinn for destruction, petrified Morrighan and took her form, and manipulated the humans by thinking Morrighan is a tratior.
In another part of G1, after Glas Ghaibhleann is defeated, his false identity as the goddess Morrighan is uncovered. He then kills Mores and disappears.

In Generation 3: Dark Knight (G3), he and Morgant recruited Ruairi. In Alby G3, he scolds Ruairi for meddling with a "random person", and then realizes it was you, and attempts to blast you. Price comes out of nowhere, which shocks Cichol; "WHO ARE YOU?!?". Price leaves with the Paladin, and Cichol is angered because "he/she" survived him. He then leaves afterward.
He then attempts to use Triona's body as a sacrifice to summon the goddess Macha. At the end of G3, he attempts to blast Tarlach, but Ruairi fights Cichol. However, Cichol defeats Ruairi and uses him to re-summon Cromm Cruaich. He also states that Morrighan lied to you because she didn't tell you that Tir Na Nog was in fact, Erinn!

Trivia
In many mainstream cutscense, unlike other NPCs who appear as "#tarlach" (or along those lines) while Alt is held down, he appears as "Evil Cichol" with a combat power value (9999.00) to the side. This indicates it is possible he already has combat stats in the game and can probably be fought at some time. However, this is also the way most character names are written in the xml cutscene properties, which are separate from non-cutscenes, so the possibility of fighting Cichol may or may not be true.
