Castanea is the chief of the Elves in Filia, which is located in Connous. She is adept at magic and can give Elves the quest to obtain Mirage Missile. She sells, repairs and upgrades wands. She also provides part-time jobs that give Holy Water of Lymilark as a reward.
Castanea will "bless" Elves and Elf-allied Humans when she is talked to. Elves will get +15 to dexterity and hit points (HP), while allied Humans will get +10 to dexterity and HP. This blessing will last indefinitely unless a player logs out, leaves Connous, or gets knocked out. Upon losing the "blessing" a player will need to go back to Castanea in order to receive it again. The "blessing" is free and can be helpful if doing a hard dungeon, such as, the Mysterious Arrow dungeon in Longa Desert Ruins.
